Chief Ground Instructor - Ground Training School
Chimes Aviation Academy is currently seeking applications for a suitable qualified and highly motivated person for the position of Chief Ground Instructor.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake planning, provisioning and management of all aspects of ground training and non-flying development programs provided at the Academy.
- Supervise and manage the activities of respective Ground Instructors within delegated areas of responsibilities to ensure optimum utilization of resources, and timely and efficient achievement of contractual training objectives.
- Give practical ground instruction where appropriate or as required.
- Ensure that the Academy’s theoretical and non-flying development programs are conducted in accordance with the CARs and all other applicable regulations.
- Evaluate, prepare, and maintain appropriate levels of ground training materials.
- Carry out standardization, proficiency training, and validation with each instructor designated or appointed as ground instructors at the Academy before the instructor commences instructional duties with the Academy, and at intervals of not more than one year thereafter.
- Maintain detailed records of ground training programs and results
- Ensure that ground training programs, rosters and examination schedules are coordinated with the flying training program.
- Ensure there is an oversight of all CAA’s students’ ground training progress
- Undertake regular reporting to the Chimes Aviation Academy SPOC for the IndiGo cadet Pilot Program of all ground training progress as per the requirements set forth by IndiGo.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with an FTO/defence Aviation training organisation/Airports Authority if in a recent Aviation training organisation.
Delivery and classroom teaching experience.
Skills Required
- Proven ability to use relevant experiences and instructional skills in a highly challenging, highly structured learning environment
- Ability to interact positively with trainee pilots
- Familiar with Microsoft office Suite.
- Good Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good presentation skills
- CPL holder or B.Tech/M.Tech/Engineering Degree/Science Graduate preferred
